These are my baseball bat sculptures
They are all hand carved wood of various species. I tried to keep the bats in a similar size or volume as a genuine baseball bat, while some were carved from actual bats.
After hand turning a couple of bats for my son to use in his high school baseball team, I was inspired to seek a yet undefined beauty from such a commonplace, plain utilitarian club form. In these sculptures you will discover the same familiar bat body, handle, and curves transformed into my unique vision of beauty, my love of woodcraft and at times, my sense of humor.
No wood was steamed, bent, or melted in the making of these bats.
